Important Information

Please Read this information carefully before fitting a HiSpec Kit

It is essential that both brake discs are replaced at the same time - never replace only one disc.
Replacing only one disc can result in "out of balance" braking and could be dangerous.

If you have any difficulty in fitting the disc refer to the vehicle manufacturer's workshop manual

Disc fitting guidelines

Ensure that there is no corrosion protection film around the disc.
If there is remove with a suitable contact cleaner

Make sure that the hub face is completely clean and rust free.
Failure to do this will result in run out and brake judder

Once the disc is fitted, turn the disc ensuring that it turns freely and does not rub against anything.
Ideally this should be performed using a dial indication with a magnetic base.
If run out exceeds 0.15 - 0.20mm then the disc should be taken off and rotated one bolt hole.

Bedding in

Bedding in is highly important to the process to guarantee the long term quality of your brakes.

This is simply done by using the brakes gently for the first 200 miles.
If you do not bed the discs in then inconsistencies in the disc and pad will cause high spots to overheat. This will cause glazing and reduce the performance of the discs, it will also lead to warped discs with the result of vibrations and judder.

Brake discs and pads are safety critical components -
Regular inspection is essential for the safety of the driver.
